There are no “pay-by-pot” taxi services anywhere in the world, but that didn’t stop an Ohio man from trying to do it anyway.

27-year old Nicholas Baker of Alliance, Ohio made a cab driver the offer after coming up a few dollars short after being driven to his destination.

“He was a few dollars short, so he asked me if he could pay the rest in pot. To which I told him, we are cash only,” cabbie Steve Rooza told WJW.

Baker then jumped out of the cab, gave the driver the middle finger, yelling: “my f*cking name is Nicholas Baker and you can tell the police my name they know me.”

The driver filed a police report and they quickly rounded Baker up.

“He was charged with a petty theft offense for a $7 dollar cab fare,” said Detective Matthew Shatzer. “It’s kind of silly, if you ask me. If you are going to steal a service, the last thing you want to give the person you are stealing from is your name.”
