Dr. Dre’s Subtle Attack On 50 Cent?!?

TMZ caught up with Dr. Dre in front of Boa Steakhouse in Hollywood Tuesday night and asked him out 50 Cent’s recent rant on Twitter where he wrote that both Dre and Jimmy Iovine were upset with him.

The legendary producer denied knowing anything about the Tweets that jokingly suggested that 50 would not appear on Dre’s Detox album.

50′s reason for the speculation comes from the fact that he’s set to release his Sleek by 50 Cent wireless headphones, going up against Dre’s popular Beats by Dr. Dre headphone line.

Dre added that he had “never heard of his headphones” leading the public to draw their own conclusion about his sincerity.

Is he really disconnected or is he just not threatened by the less popular product?

50 Cent Vs. Dr. Dre & Jimmy Iovine?

 

Earlier this evening, 50 Cent took to his Twitter account expressing some issues going on with Jimmy Iovine & Dr. Dre over at Interscope Records. Fif claims that his to bosses have issues with his recent new business venture, the Sleek By 50 audio line which he believes will lead to him being left off Dr. Dre’s Detox album. That isn’t it, he posed a question possibly revealing that a track exists going at the two which would really would be a twist within the Shady/G-Unit/Aftermath camp.

Says 50:

Jimmy Iovine and Dre mad at me cause I’m doing Sleek By 50.
I guess I’m not going to be on Detox Lol
I’m a little hurt Jimmy and Dre feel like that but f*ck it. I’m focused I
got a surprise for everybody this go round.
Would you faint if I told you I just wrote a verse about Jimmy and Dre.

Oh my god this is hard.

This shit gonna kill.

Em gonna have a heart attack when he hear this sh*t damn lol

Pretty interesting for two reasons, one I wondered how Dre & Jimmy felt about 50 becoming the competition when he launched his Sleek Audio line. Second I found it somewhat weird that Fif wasn’t on Eminem’s Recovery album.

50 Cent Makes Rap History Going 8X Platinum!


It’s no secret how 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ mission turned out for the Queens-bred millionaire, but recently the debut album that received critical acclaim, also reached the 8 times platinum mark.

Back in February of 2003, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 872,000 copies in its first week and ending up at 6 million sold that same year.

Fif has never been able to match those numbers again but he can boast that he now has the fourth best-selling rap album ever with that first release.

He is still behind his labelhead Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP with 10,341,000 sales and The Eminem Show at 9,928,000 copies sold. Nelly’s Country Grammar is third on the list with 8,489,000 units moved.

50 has gone on to do multiple films, lucrative business ventures and is in the studio working on his fifth album, Black Magic due out this summer.
