A Long Island mom — traveling along with her three-year-old daughter — was busted Thursday for driving drunk after she crashed into a parked car.
The incident occurred in front of 36 Robinwood St., in Mastic around 12:45 a.m.
According to Suffolk County police, Dawn Mills, 40, was driving a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville northbound on Robinwood Street when she crashed into a parked vehicle. Mills reportedly fled the scene, however was caught by authorities a few minutes later.
Mills’ 3-year-old daughter, who was a passengers in the backseat at the time of the crash, was treated for a minor injury at a local hospital.
Mill was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated — a felony under Leandra’s Law. In addition, she was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and leaving the scene of an accident.
Mills is slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.
