(AllHipHop) Former rap manager/mogul James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond has been hit with 13 charges related to his role in a drug dealing operation that the government claims earned more than $10 million annually, in drug proceeds.
According to reports, the 46-year-old has been charged with maintaining a “supervisory and management position” in a continuing criminal enterprise that began trafficking large amounts of cocaine in 2007.
Rosemond was arraigned yesterday (July 6th), along with other men, including his brothers Kesner and another brother named Mario.
Also named on the indictment are Jason Williams, Tony Martin, and a man named Dennis Graham a.k.a. “Mark Black.”
Federal authorities are seeking to confiscate Rosemond’s $1 million-dollar condominium on the Hudson River in Manhattan, as well as a luxury condo in BelTell loss in Brooklyn worth almost $3 million.
While Rosemond was indicted for his role in the drug viewing operation, he was not charged with the murder of 50 Cent‘s associate Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher, a crime he can legally still be charged with.
Fletcher was allegedly gunned down by two associates within the Rosemond drug dealing organization.
The slaying was allegedly in retaliation for Tony Yayo‘s assault on Rosemond’s young son, as he walked to the offices of Czar Entertainment, one of the companies Rosemond used as a front for his drug dealing operation.
Rosemond faces up to life in prison if he is convicted on the drug charges, alone.
James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals at the W Hotel on Union Square.
According to the New York Daily News, Rosemond was hiding in plain sight at the posh hotel where the rooms can run $1,000 a night and the opulent features include in-room spa treatments, goose down pillows and 24-hour room service.
The Czar Entertainment head tried to bolt the Manhattan hotel but was tackled by marshals Tuesday morning, and chipped a tooth when he fell, officials said.
He is due in Brooklyn Federal Court later in the day.
In addition to the drug charges, Rosemond is accused of witness tampering and obstruction of justice, authorities said.
A man has admitted to shooting rap star Tupac Shakur in 1994 after allegedly being paid $2,500 dollars by James ‘Jimmy Henchman’ Rosemond inside Manhattan’s Quad Studios in November of 1994.
Dexter Isaac, a former friend of Rosemond, is an inmate currently serving life in prison for murder, robbery and other offenses.
Isaac came forward Wednesday (June 15) with the information on the eve of what would be Tupac’s 40th birthday. (Read his statement here.)
He confessed to his involvement in the November 30th, 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur, after Jimmy Henchman identified him in a statement, relating to Henchman’s indictment for dealing numerous kilos of cocaine.
“I want to apologize to his family [Tupac Shakur] and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman],” Dexter Isaac said from prison. “I am trying to clean it up to give [Tupac and Biggie's] mothers some closure.”
Henchman, who is currently on the run from Federal officials, claimed that Dexter Isaac, along with other incarcerated inmates were cooperating with the government in an investigation of his alleged drug dealing activities.
“If the government is relying on informants like Winston “Winnie” Harris, a convicted drug dealer and Jamaican deportee, who came to me and motioned via hand signal that he was forced to wear a wire and begged me to skip town or Dexter Isaac who is serving life in prison plus 30 years, then I’m sure I will not be offered a fair trial,” Henchman said in May of 2011.

D’Angelo, 37, appeared in a Manhattan court on Friday (11Mar11) and entered his plea for the lesser charge of disorderly conduct.
Prosecutors claim the offence is a violation, not a crime, and state that the star has satisfied their conditions, although they have refused to go into detail about the settlement, according to the Associated Press.
