G’s To Gents Contestant Baron “Dirty” Colon Charged w/ Murder!
A former contestant on MTV reality show “From G’s To Gents” is behind bars after being charged with murder.
Baron “Dirty” Colon was arrested by Miami police last week for the slaying of artist Marcelo Vera during a botched robbery in January 2006.
According to The Miami Herald, police say Colon was a suspect in the case even as the 24-year-old was a contestant on the show hosted by Fonzworth Bentley.
Authorities got a break in the case last year when an informant secretly recorded Colon confessing details of the case “ranging from the caliber of the weapons used in the homicide, the fact that the victim was a skinny male who put up a fight, and that he and [an accomplice] fled the scene and spent the night outside, even sleeping in bushes the night of the murder to make sure he evaded police,” reports The Miami Herald.

BET Hip Hop Cypher Ft. Vado, Fonzworth Bentley, Laws, DJ Premier, Reychesta, Reema Major & Nick Javas!
The BET Hip Hop Awards went down last night at Atlanta’s Civic Center. While we’ll have to wait until October 12 to see the full show, BET released two of the cyphers as a digital exclusive.
The cyphers featured Vado, Fonzworth Bentley, Reychesta “The Secret Weapon”, Laws, Nick Javas and Reema Major.
The 2010 BET Hip Hop Awards will air on Tuesday October 12 at 8pm Eastern.
