New Edition Performance @ DJ Cassidy’s B-Day Bash!‬‏

DJ Cassidy held his 30th birthday celebration at the Intrepid museum with an estimated 900 guests. For 10 years straight, the celebrity DJ who has spun for Beyoncé and Jay-Z‘s wedding and President Obama’s inauguration has turned his birthday bash into an annual NYC Summer hit. Celebrity guests like Russel Simmons, Carmelo Anthony, Chanel Iman, Adrienne Bailon, Kristie Alley, Q-Tip, Doug E. Fresh and Swizz Beatz poured into the historic venue to help DJ Cassidy celebrate his last annual birthday extravaganza with a bang! The event was sponsored by Hennessy who was also celebrating their 1st year anniversary of Hennessy Black. Guests are always treated to a very special surprise and this year it was no different. New Edition & Doug E Fresh performed for the anxious crowd to capped off the night.

R.I.P: Rapper M-Bone Of Cali Swag District Shot & Killed!

Rapper M-Bone of Cali Swag District died late Sunday night.

The rapper who helped pen the hit “Teach Me How To Dougie”, was confirmed dead by group member Smoove Da General who posted on Twitter,

“My life changed in the blink of an eye. RIP MBone.”

According to TMZ, Bone died of gunshot wounds last night in his hometown of Inglewood, CA .

M-Bone, real name Montae Talber was 22-years-old.

M-Bone Far Left And The Rest Of Cali Swag District

An official statement from the group reads,

“Cali Swag District member Mante “M-Bone” Talbert was the victim of a random act of violence last night, Sunday, May 15th in his hometown of Inglewood, CA. 

As police are still investigating the shooting and untimely death we ask that anyone with information contact the Inglewood Police Department.

Mante, aged 22, was the comedic entertainer of Cali Swag District (who helped launch “The Dougie” to mainstream audiences) and was an inspiration to his family, friends and fans.

He was a hardworking, passionate artist and dancer that will be deeply missed.”

over $2 million in taxes. The IRS
filed a lien against him with the
New York City register’s office in
October for his $2,276, 848 debt.

Higlights From The 2010 Soul Train Awards!

The 2010 Soul Train Music Awards aired last night.

Hosted by Academy Award nominated actors Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, the show was taped at the Cobb Energy Center on Nov. 10 in Atlanta, Georgia.

The show featured Legend Awards and tributes given to Anita Baker and Ron Isley.

There were also great performances by Ne-Yo, Tank, Eric Benet, Jazmine Sullivan, R. Kelly, Erykah Badu, Cee Lo, Doug E Fresh, Faith Evans, El Debarge and more.
