New York Knicks Eddy Curry was
ordered to pay back a $570,000 loan,
plus interest, to Allstar Capital
after failing to convince a judge
that he was unable to afford it.
The $10.5 million reserve player
said he has too many expenses to
pay, including $6,000 to his
personal chef, $17,000 a month on
rent, $425 on satellite TV and
another $30,000 on “household
expenses.” He also owes $350,000 to
NBA star Juwan Howard, the unpaid
mortgage on his mansion and tuition
for private school. His parents,
sister and father-in-law get
another $16,000 a month, and
relatives have driven away with
some of the 12 cars he’s purchased.
