The NIKE MAG is no longer the “greatest shoe never made.” The mythical shoe that originally captured the imagination of audiences in Back to the Future II is being released — and they’re here to help create a future without Parkinson’s disease.
1500 pairs of the 2011 NIKE MAG will be auctioned on eBay with all net proceeds going directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Each day for the duration of the ten-day auction, one hundred and fifty pairs of the 2011 NIKE MAG shoes will be made available via eBay’s Fashion Vault. The auction starts September 8, 8:30PM PST, and will end September 18. Thanks to a previous 50 million dollar match given to the Michael J. In a recent interview with MTV UK, 50 clears up speculation that there is any “friendship” between the two.
“Me and Jay will use each other,” says Fifty. “We don’t have those kinds of relationships. “We are in the same business. We are not necessarily friends. We don’t call each other for no reason.”
50 Cent makes it clear that he has nothing personal against Jay-Z himself but it seems as pride has gotten in the way of further collaborations.
“They don’t pick up the phone and call me,” he says.

On Friday, Sleek Audio LLC issued a press release stating that it had terminated its relationship with 50 Cent and his companies and that Sleek had also terminated an earlier tri-party deal between Sleek, G-Unit LLC (a company owned by 50 Cent) and TV Goods. In actuality, it was G-Unit that terminated a Brand Licensing Agreement that it had entered into with Sleek, which termination automatically triggered the termination of the earlier announced tri-party agreement.
However, not long after the termination of the tri-party agreement, TV Goods and 50 Cent, via his affiliate company, SMS Audio, LLC, entered into a Term Sheet for the two parties to continue joint efforts to produce and distribute a direct response television infomercial to globally market a wireless over-the-ear headphone product offered or sold by SMS that is endorsed by and/or and bears the name of “50 Cent.” Sleek is not a party to that Term Sheet.
50 Cent, through his affiliate organizations, remains a significant shareholder of TV Goods, owning 7.5 million shares and 22.5 million warrants, which he, via his affiliate G-Unit, purchased for $750,000.
Basically 50 Cent just took Sleek Audio out the deal and is proceeding on without them.
The doctor has a new partnership with the auto-mobile company Chrysler. Beats by Dre’s will now be included in the 2012 300 Sedan. Dre will be responsible for the sound system in the new car.
CEO of Interscope Jimmy Iovine will also be involved with Dre on the project.
“Our partnership with the Chrysler Group will set the bar for the way music should be heard in cars,” said Iovine. “Beats By Dr. Dre has always been about restoring the emotional music connection between an artist and the listener, and Chrysler vehicles beginning with the Chrysler 300S will let drivers hear music the way the artists intended, replicating the feel and the sound that artists and producers work so hard to achieve.”
It has also been announced that Dre will be in commercials for the vehicle just as Eminem was.
In March, Representative Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL) pushed his idea to amend the Constitution to guarantee an iPad, Kindle or Nook for every school child in the United States. In the intervening month, something must have happened to change Rep. Jackson’s mind about Apple’s tablet device.
According to a report from Real Clear Politics, Representative Jackson is now blaming the tablet device for “eliminating thousands of American jobs.” He pins the closing of Borders and a decline in book sales at Barnes & Noble on the iPad and similar tablet devices. On the House floor on Friday, in remarks about the seeming inability of the current Congress to focus on America’s unemployment problem, the congressman stated the following:
“A few short weeks ago I came to the House floor after having purchased an iPad and said that I happened to believe, Mr. Speaker, that at some point in time this new device, which is now probably responsible for eliminating thousands of American jobs. Now Borders is closing stores because, why do you need to go to Borders anymore? Why do you need to go to Barnes & Noble? Buy an iPad and download your newspaper, download your book, download your magazine.”
As he continued his remarks, he noted (correctly) that the iPad is manufactured in China, not in the US.
What say you American people, do you think the iPad is killing jobs in the US, or is the honorable gentleman off track?
