New Orleans Man Gets Life In Jail For Marijuana!
According to the news report:
Cornell Hood II just couldn’t stay out of trouble.
Hood moved from eastern New Orleans to the Slidell area after he admitted to separate charges of distribution of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana on Dec. 18, 2009, in Orleans Parish Criminal District Court. He received a suspended five-year prison sentence and five years’ of probation for each — which was precisely the same penalty he got in that court after pleading guilty to possessing and intending to distribute marijuana on Feb. 22, 2005.
When Hood switched homes, he also requested a new probation officer based in St. Tammany. Authorities granted the wish, and the officer, Dustin Munlin, drove to Hood’s place for a routine visit on Sept. 27, 2010. Munlin found nearly two pounds of pot throughout the house, according to court records. He alerted Sheriff’s Office deputies. Prosecutors later charged him with one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
At his trail which lasted one day Cornell was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana which usually results in less than 15 year sentence but in New Orleans people are subject to life imprisonment after being convicted three or more times of a crime that carries a sentence exceeding 10 years.
Wow, this seems a bit severe for weed.. you getting life for weed man..SMDH!

Pras & Wyclef End Their Beef!
Pras told allhiphop.com that his former Fugee cohort felt betrayed when Pras endorsed eventual winner of the election, Michel Martelly.
“My boy Clef was running, and see, I didn’t even know about it until like the day of (the announcement)… Now, it’s all good but it was very heated… at that time, I think (Jean) felt a little bit betrayed,” said Pras.
The two ended up on the same flight to Haiti earlier this year and were able to air out their grievances.

50 Cent Speaks On His Relationship w/ Jay-Z & Not Losing His Headphones Deal!
After doing shows alongside Jay-Z and even appearing on a few tracks together, it seems there is a clashing of egos between the Roc Nation head and 50 Cent.
In a recent interview with MTV UK, 50 clears up speculation that there is any “friendship” between the two.
“Me and Jay will use each other,” says Fifty. “We don’t have those kinds of relationships. “We are in the same business. We are not necessarily friends. We don’t call each other for no reason.”
50 Cent makes it clear that he has nothing personal against Jay-Z himself but it seems as pride has gotten in the way of further collaborations.
“They don’t pick up the phone and call me,” he says.

In big business news TV Goods Inc is clearing up the press release that went out last week from Sleek Audio LLC saying they terminated their deal with the rap mogul.
On Friday, Sleek Audio LLC issued a press release stating that it had terminated its relationship with 50 Cent and his companies and that Sleek had also terminated an earlier tri-party deal between Sleek, G-Unit LLC (a company owned by 50 Cent) and TV Goods. In actuality, it was G-Unit that terminated a Brand Licensing Agreement that it had entered into with Sleek, which termination automatically triggered the termination of the earlier announced tri-party agreement.
However, not long after the termination of the tri-party agreement, TV Goods and 50 Cent, via his affiliate company, SMS Audio, LLC, entered into a Term Sheet for the two parties to continue joint efforts to produce and distribute a direct response television infomercial to globally market a wireless over-the-ear headphone product offered or sold by SMS that is endorsed by and/or and bears the name of “50 Cent.” Sleek is not a party to that Term Sheet.
50 Cent, through his affiliate organizations, remains a significant shareholder of TV Goods, owning 7.5 million shares and 22.5 million warrants, which he, via his affiliate G-Unit, purchased for $750,000.
Basically 50 Cent just took Sleek Audio out the deal and is proceeding on without them.
