Allen Iverson’s Lamborghini Impounded By Atlanta Police For Expired Tags!
ATLANTA — NBA All Star Allen Iverson‘s car was impounded by Atlanta Police in Buckhead Thursday night.
The police report said the Lamborghini being driven by Iverson’s friend was pulled over because it had expired dealer tags on it, dating back to 2009. According to the report, Iverson wanted to get out of the car and get something to eat while the police officer was writing up the information on the vehicle. When the officer said no, Iverson became verbally abusive toward the officers.
The report said that Iverson went on for the next 20 minutes, saying, “Do you know who I am? I make more money than you will in 10 years!”
According to the report, the officer said that it really didn’t matter who Iverson was, he was trying to conceal his vehicle with a fake, drive out tag due to your not paying for your tags.
After a tow truck came to take away the vehicle, the report said Iverson came back and apologized to the officer, saying he was just upset about the car.
Police cited the driver for failure to signal while changing lanes and for the expired tag.
As police prepared to tow the car away, Iverson reportedly hopped into a Rolls-Royce that the NBA star’s friends were following in, and pulled off.
Biggest Loser: Man Skips Office Pool, Loses Share Of $319 Million Prize!
The man who didn’t chip in $2 to the lottery office pool is being called the “biggest loser” by some, but to me he sounds like a winner.
Why? He’s not whining about it.
Sure, it would be a soul-crushing experience to see your co-workers split up the $319 Mega Millions prize (more than $19 million each after taxes), but at least he’s not bitter or suing.
“I just wasn’t feeling lucky that day,” said Mike, who didn’t want to give his last name, in an ABC News article. Today, he worked on keeping New York state government computers running while his millionaire friends went to pick up their over-sized check. The lucky seven haven’t been showing up to work, and are expected to quit, though they’ve not told their bosses anything.
“I don’t think they’ll cut me in. I don’t think they should. I don’t deserve it,” he said.
His friends had asked twice to see if he wanted to chip in, but he declined.
Maybe he’s looking at the bright side. With his department being reduced to just one person, he’s probably next in line for a promotion.
