The National Enquirer is scheduled to publish photos that allegedly show the 17-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina Brown snorting cocaine.
It’s easy to say that “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” or “like mother, like daughter,” given Whitney’s history with addiction and her father’s constant run-ins with the law.
But many of us hope that this is not Bobbi Kristina in the photos, and seeing her parents affected by narcotics would turn her away from them instead of towards them.
Less than a day after the pictures surfaced, the daughter of the famous former couple came forward via Twitter to confront the allegations with this statement:
“The pictures_ a former very dear person to me did this. Set me up to make it look exactly what it looks like. God will smite them yes..But it’s really not what it looks like.. People will do anything for money which is extremely sad, and I’m very hurt by this.Thing’s people do these days to hurt others is a shame. All I can do now, is keep my head up high, keep looking towards the lord. All the lord is telling me is be still. That’s all, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. #BeStill.
I love my family so much. My mom just comforted me to the max, and I’m so thankful for her. Thank you so much lord for blessing me with an Phenomenal family and incredibly phenomenal mother. Thank you for giving me the strength to move forward and put things in the past.
And the person that did this was a result of a horrible relationship that went sour. I was in love_ he was in love with money. I’ve learned My lesson. I’m so much greater and blessed for it today, and I believe nothing less. That is the last I will speak of this, let’s praise god And be greatful and thankful for your family, and people that truly love you, strength, courage, and life lessons learned. GodblessUall”
Minister Louis Farrakhan is clarifying a statement he made about pop singer Rihanna.
As previously reported, news hit the net that the Nation of Islam leader called her performances “filth” and criticized her fans for being “swine.”
The singer heard of the diss herself and took to her Twitter page to say,
Since then a rep for Farakhan has released a full transcript of the speech to AllHipHop to prove that it was taken out of context.
According to a Farakhan rep, the Minster said,
“I saw my beautiful sister the other night at the Grammy awards. Rihanna. My poor sister, she’s dressed almost like -with a pair of draws. And she got her legs wide open and just grinding away,”
The full transcript is below.
“…When the Mahdi (Reformer) comes, he kills the swine. It doesn’t mean he just goes around killing pigs, but the demon in you is akin to the behavior of a swine. Now listen. Just see if it fits. Try it on. If it don’t fit, it aint you (colloquial language for humor).
Swine love filth. How about you?”
“I saw my beautiful sister the other night at the Grammy awards. Rihanna. My poor sister, she’s dressed almost like -with a pair of draws. And she got her legs wide open and just grinding away.
“Ahhh, look at Rihanna, Go on, girl”
If that didn’t revolt you, you’re beginning to be a swine. When you can sit down and listen to somebody and every 3rd word is you “m-f” this. And they start talking about the act that is done in private and they bring it out in the public and make (it) so low down and filthy ; and you’re sitting there laughing at a filthy damn joke and then the next day you go to church and sing in the choir, you’re a swine.. Swine love filth. How about you?”
There were also reports that the Minister called homosexuals swine as well.
Pop star, Rihanna is aligning herself with Nivea.
No, not the singer Nivea, but the skin care line that is celebrating its 100th birthday.
The German company Beiersdorf that owns the skin care product is planning to invest $140 million to boost its presence, and part of that investment is sponsoring Rihanna’s upcoming LOUD tour.
Markus Pinger, member of the board, responsible for Brands, commented on the reason for enlisting Riri,
“Over the past 100 years, NIVEA has been an iconic skincare brand across the world. Rihanna is a music icon and her digital footprint will help us bring our anniversary celebration to consumers wherever they are.”
