In a recent interview with Boombox, Ciara insists she will be taking the high road from this point moving forward.
“In reference to the Keri situation, I’m so in a different space mentally I can’t even bring myself to do that,” she said. “It’s not [important] to me. There’s just so much stuff to get out of life than that. There’s so much more for me to accomplish in my career. Personally, I’ve decided that it doesn’t make sense to do that.”
It’s never been fully explained what got these two upset with each other initially. But it is generally acknowledged that Keri fired the first public shot on her “Turning Me On” remix.
“Your vision cloudy if you think that you da best/ You can dance, she can sing, but need to move it to the left,” Hilson sang.
Ciara fired back with the song “Basic Instinct (U Got Me).“
“I was out buying Chanel bags/While I was doing that you turned up your swag. You caught me slippin/But get your hustle on shawty I aint trippin. I been in the game since ’03/You can try but you still can’t do it like me,” Ciara rapped.
It was later reported that the two got into an argument last month at the Power Live concert on Governor’s Island. Hilson reportedly refused to perform afterwards.
But now, Ciara is looking past the b.s.
I’m very secure in my place and what I’ve done over the years,” Ciara told Boombox. “I’m just trying to be as successful as possible. I do believe that thinking about stuff like that and giving things like that energy — it can get in the way. It’s not necessary. That’s just my point of view. When you read about people having differences, it’s case by case. Sometimes there [are] songs that make people think like that, sometimes there are rumors. You just never know where they come from.“
In the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly where Justin Timberlake is promoting the new movie The Social Network, he seems to become annoyed when the writer asks him about putting out new music. Check out the excerpt below.
EW: Are there people you work with who are telling you that you should put another record out sooner rather than later?
Timberlake: …Does a painter make a painting because he has to make it by December 21st? No, he doesn’t. It happens when it pours out of him. That’s how music is for me….
Do you think it’s dangerous to wait so long? Christina Aguilera waited four years between albums, and her fans don’t seem to care about her right now.
If you’re asking me, no. I never stop making music. I don’t know what else to tell you, except that I just don’t know [in] what capacity I want to be involved anymore.
That sounds very final.
Timberlake: No. All I’m saying is, in very simple terms, I’ll know when I know. And until I know, I don’t know.

Legendary Hip-Hop artist LL Cool J embarrassed himself during a night at the theatre recently when he jumped on stage to stop a prop from falling.
The rapper/actor was in the audience for James Whitmore, Jr.’s “Better Days,” when he pulled an “NCIS” move and leapt into action to protect one of the stars. However, LL wasn’t quite the hero he planned to be when he realized that the falling prop was actually part of the show.
LL spoke about the embarrassing incident and why he decided to run on stage.
“They had this scene at the end of the play where the wall is coming down and the shelf turns into this heavenly thing. I thought the bookshelf was really falling,” he said. “I jumped up… and ran on the stage real crazy… and then I realized it wasn’t falling. It was transforming. It was part of the play. The girl onstage, the actress, was, like, kneeling down in front of me, and she was just looking at me like, ‘You’re ruining my performance… I never felt so crazy in my life… You can’t be cool all the time.”
LL who was recently announced to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, may have feeling himself a little too much.
