Actress Maia Campbell Arrested
Former actress Maia Campbell who starred alongside LL Cool J in the sitcom “In The House” has reportedly been arrested in California.
Although the reason for her arrest is unknown, according to The YBF, Campbell is currently housed in the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California and being held on a $40,100 bail.
The sherriff’s department states that although the actress is unable to receive visitors, she can receive monetary contributions.
Campbell, who is the daughter of the late prominent New York Times best-seller novelist and journalist Bebe Moore Campbell, has experienced several strokes of misfortune. There has been speculation that Campbell has been heavily involved with narcotics and may be suffering bouts of bipolar disorder, which has caused her to spiral downward, putting the brakes on a career that was on the upswing.
As previously reported, Campbell has been viewed on two videos rambling, using profanity, looking disheveled and seeming disoriented.
On Wednesday, she had her first court date.
No stranger to bouts with the law, Campbell was arrested back in June, then released just two days later.

Just as religion bashing makes her mad, the 25-year-old pop star is also infuriated by celebrities who claim they don’t read gossip about themselves on the internet.
She added to Rolling Stone magazine: ‘Any artist who says they don’t Google their name is a big fat liar. It’s a little gross when you look at other celebrities’ twitter feeds and see them posting about something they read about themselves on a Google Alert, it’s like, ‘Uh, maybe you should stop Googling yourself every day, the world does not spin around you.’ “

Jay-Z Memoirs Out This November!
Decoded, a book published by Spiegel & Grau that mixes first-person memoir with detailed discussions of his most famous and provocative lyrics, will hit bookstores on November 16th, 2010. Jay-Z collaborated with former The Source editor Dream Hampton on the book, which includes interviews with Jay-Z’s family and friends as well as the rapper, himself. Over its 336 pages, Decoded will trace Jay-Z’s life from his childhood in Brooklyn’s Marcy Projects to his years as a teen drug dealer to becoming a hip-hop superstar. The hardcover, illustrated book will also explore Jay-Z’s creative process.

When Rolling Stone spoke to Jay-Z for our June 2010 cover story, he talked about why he was reluctant to release the autobiographical work, even though it was completed several years ago. “It’s too much. For the book, I was interviewed, people close to me were interviewed. So I was learning a lot of things I didn’t know as a child,” Jay-Z told RS. “It’s not anything I haven’t said in the past, in songs. It’s just more detailed. A song is three minutes long. A book doesn’t have to rhyme, and it has no time limit, so you can say exactly how everything went.”
Jay-Z also admitted he was most affected by parts of Decoded that concerned his father, who abandoned the family when Jay-Z was 11. “It was still wrong, at the end of the day, but he did stick around at a time where it wasn’t particularly cool or popular,” Jay-Z said. “He married my mom at a time when guys were just leaving, and you’d never even meet your dad. So it made me ease up a little bit in how I felt about him.”

Since Decoded was completed several years ago, it remains unclear whether the book will feature additional chapters detailing Jay-Z’s last few years, including The Blueprint 3, his 360 deal with Live Nation, being a part owner of the New Jersey Nets and, his most guarded subject, his marriage to Beyoncé.

Earlier this year you were the victim of a shooting. How do you explain that incident to your younger fans who may be more impressionable?
Sometimes I get kids telling me about being shot and messing with guns but I tell them every time that s*** ain’t cool. Ain’t nothing cool about shooting anybody.
Your music, though, sometimes paints a different picture.
If somebody tries to take your life, you might have to take his to survive. That’s in the Bible. If a man comes at me with a sword, you defend yourself with a sword. And if he comes at you with something else, you gotta defend yourself with that… I’m not condoning any violence but I’m about reality, bro.
There was also incident that was captured on WorldStarHipHop.com where some dudes ran up on you at a video shoot.
Let me make it clear, that was some dudes trying to get free promotion. I ain’t trippin’ on that stuff anymore. I’m good, bro. There’s always a******* in life. Certain people just feel like that’s their niche. I ain’t worried about no critics. I’m only worried about what my fans think. A critic is in the category of a hater in a high position.
Your mother Debra Antney was managing both Gucci and Nicki Minaj at one point in time, but was she always supportive of your career?
My mom was always there for me. She’s a real understanding person, but it was always about tough love. You can’t get no tighter than family. But when it’s business, I’m not her son. There’s no special treatment or anything. When I wasn’t working, she wasn’t even f*****’ with me in music. [Laughs]. I had to put in work to get her attention. She told me she wasn’t putting money into a street dude. So I had to change up my plans.
Do you know why Gucci and Nicki decided to part ways with your mom?
I can say when you start getting hot, there are a lot of people that get in your ear. I call that the devil. It’ll turn you against the people that helped you. They must have just felt like they needed a change. Maybe they felt like other people can take their career somewhere else. I don’t know. Just like LeBron going to the Heat. I ain’t mad, though, or got problems with anybody. Moms is good; her bills are paid.
Has the split affected your relationship with Gucci?
Yeah, all the way… All the way. I ain’t got beef or anything but it has changed.
So what’s your relationship like now?
There is none. We don’t talk anymore.
What about with Nicki?
Nicki is still my homey, though. I got her number and can call her whenever. My momma ain’t got no problems with her or anything either. Let’s make that clear.

WTF: Mexican Man Stabs Roommate & Then Drinks His Blood!
According to Bossip.com, after stabbing his roommate to death, Mauricio Mendez Lopez raised a plastic cup filled partially with the victim’s blood and drank it, according to an eyewitness. “He had a cup in his hand,” Mariella Mendez, who lived with the two men, told a Bay News 9 interpreter Tuesday. “He told me, ‘That dog is dead now and his life belongs to me.’ “
Lopez “raised the glass in the air and said aloud, ‘…this is my secret,’ and laughed as he ran away from the residence,” according to a Bartow police report. Lopez, who remains at large, is accused of killing 32-year-old Macario Cruz about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the house they shared at 1055 Martin Luther King Blvd. in Bartow. Bartow police say the fatal confrontation stemmed from a love triangle where Cruz was in a relationship with Mariella Mendez, who also lives in the home with her children. She is the sister of Cruz’s wife, who lives in Mexico.
Lopez, the uncle of the two women, didn’t approve of the relationship. Reports say he had warned the two July 24 that he would tell Cruz’s wife and Mendez’s father if the affair wasn’t ended. On that same day, Lopez struck Cruz in the face with a 15-pound hand weight, then chased Cruz and Mendez from the home with a knife, police reports said.
“In Mexico, they say that the blood he drank was so he could evade law enforcement,” Mendez said. “He kept saying that his life belonged to him and that’s why he had to drink it. To me, it’s as if the devil was working him.” A Mexican woman, who asked her name be withheld because of the nature of the event, said the ritual is known to criminal underworld elements in Mexico, especially among drug dealers.
“They do that in order to get strength,” the woman said. “It’s a scary thought that someone would do that. But it is out there.”

Pras Is Not Endorsing Wyclef Jean For President Of Haiti!
Wyclef Jean hit an early roadblock in his campaign for president of Haiti: his former bandmate won’t even endorse him.
The New York Daily News reports that Pras, who was in the Fugees with Wyclef, has announced his support of Michel Martell for Haiti’s president. “He is the most competent candidate for the job,” he said in a statement.
This is certainly sour news for Wyclef, but one major factor still remains: the crucial Lauryn Hill swing vote.

When a married mom of two logged onto the social networking site, she stumbled upon the pictures of her husband’s storybook Disney World wedding – to another woman, according to the Daily Mail.
Lynn France had married John France on the Amalfi coast in Italy in 2005, and the couple were raising their two sons in Cleveland. But France, an occupational therapist, became worried that he was seeing another woman.
Her feelings of suspicion grew when John left his passport at home after telling her he was on a trip to China. Her next discovery was even more unsettling: John left a hotel website up on their computer screen just before leaving for yet another trip, so Lynn decided to check out the hotel with a friend.
“So I actually went there with a girlfriend, just to see for myself for sure,” Lynn told the Daily Mail. “He was there with this girlfriend. I said, ‘Hey, I’m his wife. We’ve got a baby.’ “
Amanda informed Lynn that she was engaged to John.
When Lynn’s friend recommended that she check out the woman on Facebook, she did – and found not just photos of the woman’s bridal shower but a Disney World wedding at which Amanda had dressed up like Sleeping Beauty and John as Prince Charming.
After the January, 2009 discovery, she began divorce proceedings. John France doesn’t deny that he married Amanda, but said he’s no bigamist. His first marriage to Lynn had been declared invalid due to a clerical error, according to Msnbc.com.
“This goes back years and years; it’s not new news,” John France told Matt Lauer on the Today show this week. “I hired an Italian attorney to go and confirm the marriage was illegal. The attorney came back with affidavits stating that it was invalid.”
France’s attorney, in a statement this week, indicated that his client will ask the courts to declare that his marriage to Lynn was “void since its inception.” The couple had signed a marriage license but that license was never filed, the attorney said.
“While it appears that John and Lynn France were both under the impression, once upon a time, that they were married, the fact of the matter is that their marriage was never legally proper,” the statement said. “And, therefore, it does not actually exist.”
In a cruel twist of fate, in addition to losing her husband, Lynn has also lost her sons – at least for now. John went back to his first wife in June 2009 and asked for a reconciliation, to which she agreed, she said.
But a few months ago, John took away their sons and left her, Lynn said. The boys are now with their dad and his new wife, Amanda, in Florida.
John France is attempting to get custody of his children, say his lawyers, and their mom hasn’t seen them – except when she sees the occasional picture on the same Facebook page where she found John’s Disney World wedding photos. He told the Today show that he’s filed for majority custody of his boys, and that he’s now barred from leaving Florida with them.
Amanda told Matt Lauer on the Today show that Lynn is not barred from seeing her sons, but that when she and John have bought her plane tickets to visit them in Florida, Lynn cancels them.
On the Facebook page, Amanda calls the boys her “little loves.”
“To the two of them, this is a big joke,” Lynn told NBC. “But to me, it is devastating because it’s my children.”
