Lorenzen Wright’s Possible Connection To Memphis Drug Kingpin Maybe Cause Of Murder????

It has now been determined that Lorezen Wright was indeed murdered and now more details are emerging connecting Wright with a kingpin in his hometown of Memphis:

MyEyewitnessNews.com has obtained court documents detailing a transaction between Lorenzen Wright and an admitted associate of accused Memphis drug kingpin Craig Petties. The documents show in 2008, Wright sold two luxury cars, a Cadillac SUV and Mercedes Benz to a man named Bobby Cole. At the time Cole was indicted on drug distribution charges in a case in Atlanta and admitted to FBI agents that he was associated with a drug ring connected to Petties. The cars were ultimately seized by the government.

Wright’s body was found in a field, hundreds of yards away from a road often traveled. His body was behind a group of bushes where black marks remain after days of decomposition. Memphis Police say Wright, a hometown hero and 13 year NBA veteran was shot to death. Detectives spent the day interviewing several people including Herb Wright, Lorenzen’s father. Herb Wright was met by officers outside the Criminal Justice Center. Investigators also spoke with those who saw Wright days before he went missing.

Info on Craig Petties:

In the years that followed, authorities say, he moved to Mexico and, working with a branch of one of that country’s most notorious cartels, operated a trafficking empire that funneled hundreds of kilos of cocaine and more than a ton of marijuana into Tennessee and other states. The enterprise has been described as one of the largest and most ruthless such businesses ever uncovered in the region.

The story of Petties’ alleged rise from petty drug peddler to international trafficker illustrates how the drug business works and Memphis’ role as a distribution hub. It also shows how an enterprise built on American demand for marijuana and cocaine can spread violence and mayhem from Mexico all the way to middle-class Memphis suburbs.

While in Mexico — a nation wracked by drug-related violence — Petties allegedly was ordering the killings of rivals, suspected informants and others in the Memphis area.

The victims include a 28-year-old man who was shot and killed in his garage near Shelby Drive and Hacks Cross while his young children were in the home. Later, assassins executed two men in a car in Hickory Hill, and fatally wounded a man in an afternoon shooting in a restaurant. In all, the 50-count federal indictment accuses Petties of conspiracy in six murders, as well as an assortment of racketeering charges.

Perhaps Lorezen’s interaction with this shady Petties fellow got him killed. SMH. We still don’t understand why these athletes who have absolutely nothing to lose, get involved in this type of ish.

Mother Kills Herself & 12-Year-Old Autistic Son!

Michaela Jackson Kills Herself and Austistic Son

This is sad. Why are all of these mothers killing their autistic children?

The night before a Bronx mom killed her 12-year-old autistic son and took her own life, she posted a heart-wrenching prayer on her blog saying her life was in God’s hands. “I sincerely repent of my sins, and receive Jesus as my personal savior,” Michaela Jackson wrote on It’s Mick’s World. “Now as your child, I turn my entire life over to you. Amen.” It was the final, fateful entry on the 37-year-old Jackson’s blog, which included photos from a Friday post showing her dancing happily with her son, Kenneth Holmes.

Jackson and her son were found dead Wednesday in the bed of their Morris Heights apartment. Both had gunshot wounds to the head and a 9-mm. pistol lay nearby. Investigators believe Jackson was strained by the demands of caring for her only child. She left an anguished suicide note explaining her unthinkable actions, police said yesterday.

“There’s a note that says that, in essence, she was overwhelmed by the child,” said Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly. “I’m sorry it had to end this way,” Jackson wrote in the note found taped to the inside of the Loring Place apartment’s bedroom door, said a police source. It ended with the words, “I love you all.”

No one understands why she did it:

“Regardless of whatever happened, she loved him,” said the boy’s devastated father, Kenneth Holmes Sr., 35, a maintenance manager. Holmes wasn’t married to Jackson but remained close to her and had custody of his son every other weekend. He dropped off the boy at his mother’s home Sunday. “Everything was fine,” he said. “It cuts deep,” he said. “I’m thankful for the 12 years he was here on the planet, and the opportunities I had to talk with him and love him and be with him.”

Jackson had recently been promoted at Montefiore Medical Center and had tickets to go on vacation in Jamaica next weekend, leaving family and friends dumbfounded by her actions. “She worked her way up from a very starting-level position, and was promoted now to a research assistant,” said Steve Osborne, a Montefiore spokesman. “Everyone loved her.”

Friends and neighbors said there were no signs Jackson was about to snap. “She was a wonderful mother,” said Erica Deaver, 50, a longtime family friend. “She’d stand in front of a moving truck or a bullet for him.”

http://www.dotzik.fr/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/Jennifer%20Lopez-1244491654.jpg

Looks like after only one season – Ellen DeGeneres will no longer be a judge on Fox’s American Idol it was announced.  While saying that she didn’t think the show was a right fit for her, she also added “I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.”

Which brings us to Jennifer Lopez… who we hear will fill Ellen’s seat as a judge on Idol for the upcoming new season of the show.  That should be interesting!

First Look @ Kanye West’s ‘Power’ Video

Kanye West’s six-figure Horus chain hangs low in this first image from his “Power” video. The New York Times got a sneak peek of the clip directed by artist Marco Brambilla. As Mr. West raps, the camera slowly pans out in one continuous, unedited take to reveal him surrounded by nude female attendants; some kneel before him, others wear devil horns, and some are suspended upside down from the ceiling. The Sword of Damocles hangs over the rapper’s head, while an executioner prepares to strike him with a blade.

“It’s kind of apocalyptic, in a very personal way,” Brambilla told ArtsBeat. “It’s a very exaggerated hyper-sensational version of what the song is saying.”

The controversial video is expected to premiere next week on Kanye’s website.

In related news, Kanye has decided to change the name of his new album and says that it will no longer be called Good A** Job.

He told his new followers on Twitter,

Update: RIP To Former NBA Player Lorenzen Wright!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

HipHopWired Reports:

The body of Memphis basketball star Lorenzen Wright has been found dead after days of being missing.

The body of the ex NBA player has been found in a wooded area at Hacks Cross and Winchester in southeast Memphis. A law enforcement source confirmed the body was the body of Wright, but the Memphis Police have yet to comment on the finding.

Sources say that the body may have suffered self-inflected gunshot wounds and that the death could be suicide related. Many knew that Lorenzen was suffering financial difficulties which could lead to the assumption of suicide.

Wright was last seen at the Collierville home of Wright’s ex-wife, Sherra Robinson Wright. On July 19th, Wright was reported missing after a meeting with his ex-wife involving taking a trip with his kids to Atlanta. It is said Wright was carrying a large amount of cash on him, and although some say early signs of the case show suicide, Wright’s family is suspecting foul play.

Police have also confirmed earlier today that they are investigating a 911 hangup call from Wright’s cellphone that was made on July 19th, the day he went missing.
