From the front, high three-quarter angle, Daniel Garcia’s Audi A9 concept is a little too reminiscent of BMW’s Vision EfficientDynamics Concept. Yet, as is the case with so many geniune Audis, get to know it a bit more and you discover its beautiful and original secrets. As a concept, it’s full of features like self-repairing panels and a pushbutton that changes the exterior color, but we have to admit we’re digging those electroluminescent, spoked wheels.
Better yet is the exterior, with its inviting proportions, conceivable enough that if someone told us this will be the 2016 A7 Sportback we’d give them the benefit of the doubt. Have a better look at it in the gallery of high-res photos below, and we’ll hope that one of Audi’s coming software apps includes running a program that turns your A8 into this.
LADY GAGA has undergone testing to determine if she suffers from lupus, the genetic disease which killed her aunt. The Poker Face singer has sought medical advice for a string of health problems in the last year (09), including breathing difficulties, blurred vision, stress and headaches. She has since been tested for lupus, which causes the immune system to attack the body and which killed her father’s sister Joanne when she was 19 – but Gaga does not want her loyal fans to be concerned about her health. She tells Britain’s The Times, “Yes (I have been tested). But I don’t want anyone to be worried… I have heart palpitations… but it’s OK. It’s just from fatigue and other things. I’m very connected to my aunt, Joanne, who died of lupus. It’s a very personal thing. I don’t want my fans to be worried about me.” And the 24 year old admits she has been taking pills to help her deal with the pressures of fame: “(I use) prescription medicine. I can’t control my thoughts at all. I’m tortured. But I like that… It’s good to be tortured. The thoughts are unstoppable – but so is the music. It comes to me constantly.”

(RTTNews) – Actress Vanessa Williams reportedly paid a whopping $220,000 for a watch owned by Jay-Z at a celebrity auction earlier this week. The event, dubbed Time to Care, auctioned off watches from several other celebrities, including Meryl Streep.
Though Jay-Z is known for his philanthropic endeavors, he did admit that it was tough to part with his custom Audemars Piguet watch, saying, “[I] kind of don’t want to part with this. So I hope it goes for a small amount so I can bid on it.”
Williams also offered up a signed timepiece of her own at the auction, which raised $816,000 for the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS charity.
The singer/actress is also making headlines this week as the newest cast member of ABC’s hit series Desperate Housewives. While announcing their fall lineup, network execs confirmed that the former Miss America will appear on the show full time.
Horrific: The bullfighter loses his footing and slips to the sandy floor before the half-ton bull gores him through the throat
DailyMail.co.uk: Spanish matador Julio Aparicio needed two operations after he was horrifically gored through the throat during a bullfight in Madrid.
The half-ton bull, called Opiparo, struck after Julio Aparicio lost his footing and stumbled while carrying out a pass with is red cape in a packed Las Ventas bullring.
One of the animal’s horns tore into his throat and punched through the bottom of his mouth as the crowd screamed in horror at the bullfight last night.
Impaled: Spanish bullfighter Julio Aparicio is gored through the throat during a packed bullfight at Las Ventas in Madrid
The force of the impact lifted the matador into the air, puncturing his tongue and fracturing his jawbone, before the bull threw him to the sand.
Fellow matadors dashed to the rescue and managed to distract the bull so medics could get to Mr Aparicio.
The 41-year-old managed to struggle to his feet, but collapsed with blood pouring down his neck and had to be carried from the ring.
He had an emergency one-hour operation in the Las Ventas medical centre, before being transfered to the October 12 Hospital in Madrid, where doctors performed an emergency tracheotomy and worked to reconstruct his jaw, tongue and the roof of his mouth during a six-hour operation.
Critical: The torero was lifted off the ground by the force of the bull’s impact before being hurled to the sand floor
Shocked: Mr Aparicio had to have two emergency operations to install a tracheotomy and reconstruct his jaw and the roof of his mouth
A spokesman for the hospital said: ‘He remains in the intensive care unit of the hospital, has regained consciousness and his vital signs are stable.’
His father, also called Julio Aparicio, said there were no complications during the surgery.
He said: ‘It was a serious goring. Almost his entire mouth was destroyed.
‘It’s too early to talk of recovery, we must wait and see.’
The injury happened as Mr Aparicio was attempting the faena, a series of passes in which he uses his cape and sword before delivering the death blow – or estocada.
It is not known what has happened to the bull.
Mr Aparicio, from Seville, comes from a well-known family of matadors. He is in a grave condition in hospital.
Evening bullfights are watched by sell-out crowds at the 25,000 seat Las Ventas bullring and are broadcast live on cable television.
