Jay Z Files $3.7 Million Hotel Lawsuit
Jay-Z has filed a double lawsuit against a bank and investment firm, accusing the businesses of owing him $3.7 million over his New York hotel development. The Big Pimpin’ hitmaker – real name Shawn Carter – was set to plough money into the J Hotel, a luxury development in the Big Apple.
His company bought a $66 million plot in New York City in 2007 and obtained a $52 million loan that was assigned to investment managers Highland Capital Management LP and serviced by NexBank SSB. The firm also obtained an extra $11.8 million loan for the venture.
But due to the ailing economy, partners failed to pull in investors and there was a shortfall in funds – so Jay-Z offered the land back to bosses at Highland rather than face foreclosure.
In papers filed in Manhattan federal court on Wednesday (03Feb10), the rapper alleges that executives at Highland were slow in accepting the offer, causing him to accrue interest and personal costs on the loans.
The documents also claim Highland chiefs improperly diverted funds that Jay-Z’s company had placed into a reserve to cover potential environmental problems.
The papers state, “This action arises out of the efforts by defendants to bleed additional funds from (the) plaintiff. Defendants embarked on a bad faith course of conduct.”
Jay-Z is seeking $3.7 million in damages.
Grandmother Beaten & Dragged During Hate Crime…
Police in Boca Raton, Florida are on the hunt for two men a 65-year-old grandmother says beat and dragged her while yelling racial slurs.
Ruby Williams says she was at a park fishing with friends when she went to go use the restroom. She then says two men hit her from behind and called her a nigger knocking her to the ground.
The two men then rolled the older lady over and while telling her that “her kind was not wanted there” punched her in the mouth before dragging her to an abandoned area of the park.
Williams says she then passed out and believes she was left for dead.
She has six stitches in her lip as well as bruising.
She describes both men as around 20-years-old, one with curly blonde hair and the other as a Hispanic man with dark hair.

4 Women Sentenced For Gluing Man’s Private Parts
The four scorned women that teamed up to glue a man’s private parts to his stomach faced justice today in a Wisconsin court room.
Therese Ziemann, Michelle Belliveau, Wendy Sewell, and Tracy-Hood Davis were all convicted in the “Krazy Glue Revenge” Case.
The women will each receive one year of probation and community service.
As previously reported the women configured a plan to lure Donessa Davis to a hotel room after learning that the married man was sexually involved with all four of them.
When Donessa arrived he was tied up and his privates were glued to his stomach.
Davis’ wife Tracy Davis was with him in court for the sentencing.
They got off easy with that one.

Should I Have Been Fired For Pleasuring Myself At Work?
Before you give me your infamous side eye, hear me out. I am a ____ year old single female living in _____ and have been working as a paralegal at the same office for a little over 3 years. I initially moved into the position with only a certificate but I worked very hard to get where I wanted to be and soon earned the respect of all those around me who had degrees and more tenure.
Recently, I was terminated from my position with the company because I was sorta caught “handling business” in the bathroom. Let me explain.
I was on my lunch hour and ended up using it to catch up on a book that I had been reading. It wasn’t raunchy or anything but suddenly, that urge just hit me. I figured that it wouldn’t be a big deal if I used the bathroom that’s usually vacant to handle it before my shift started again. During the “big finish” (and it was a very big finish), one of my coworkers walked in the bathroom. They pretty much heard me, recognized me by my feet (I had on heels but I’m one of two black women in the office and the other was out on maternity leave) and reported me to our boss.
I went back to work as though it was nothing and at about 30 minutes until my shift was scheduled to end, I was called into the office. Long story short, my boss told me that she had to let me go for “misconduct on the job.” When I asked what she meant, she said that she was told that I was being inappropriate in the bathroom and one of my colleagues reported it back to her. Jia, my face turned as red as any black chick’s face can get. I was extremely embarrassed.
Although I know that I shouldn’t have, it’s not like I had the stall door wide open, and I don’t feel that it was something that I should’ve been terminated for. I’ve worked very hard for the company but I just don’t think that this is right. What do you think? And yes, you can post this on your site but please do not post my age or location. Thank you!

Eminem is supposedly back together with ex-wife Kim! These two have had quite a tumultuous relationship in the past (remember the lovely little ditty he sang about his fantasy of killing her?), but it appears they’re giving it yet ANOTHER go. They rekindled the romance a few months ago.
“When he came into Kim’s life again in a romantic way, she was floored,” says a source. “Kim’s pregnancy is going smoothly.” The couple is rumored to be having a boy.

Elin Fires Divorce Lawyer & Takes Tiger Woods Back
Tiger Woods wife has dumped her divorce lawyer. Elin Nordegren made the move after visiting Tiger in his sex addiction clinic. “Elin has decide to try to make the marriage work,” a source with knowledge of the situation told stated. The beautiful blonde is still not wearing her wedding ring but is giving Tiger another chance both for herself and their children. She spent five days in Hattiesburg, Mississippi recently visiting Tiger, who is at the Gentle Path clinic, undergoing counseling.
Elin was heavily guarded and stayed out of sight. During the days she was in Mississippi her twin sister was seen in Orlando running errands with her children and even taking them to Sea World.
“When she returned from seeing Tiger, she was very happy,”. “She hasn’t been like that in a long time. She was smiling for the first time in a long time.”
Elin dumped her divorce lawyer after that trip. Contrary to previous published reports she did not hire a high-powered Los Angeles attorney but had consulted with a top-notch lawyer in the Orlando area.
Now she’s decided to freeze the divorce and she’s moving ahead with trying to save the marriage, so the lawyer has been shelved.

Lil Wayne Covers New Rolling Stone
For a decade, Lil Wayne has been hip-hop’s great unstoppable force, a 24-hour-a-day recording machine without an off button. But on February 9th, Lil Wayne will have to stop — for 12 months, when he reports to prison to serve a sentence for gun possession stemming from a 2007 arrest in New York City. Rolling Stone stays up all night with Weezy as he prepares to get locked down in our new issue, which is on sale at newsstands today.
“I don’t like to stop,” Wayne tells RS‘ Chris Norris. “I believe you stop when you die.” So in the weeks before he reports to Rikers Island, Wayne is keeping busy — recording tracks bound for Tha Carter IV (the album Cash Money staffers call “C4″ because it’ll be the bomb), shooting videos with his Young Money protégés, spending time with his growing family, and deliberately not asking anyone for advice about life on the inside. “This is Lil Wayne going to jail. Nobody I can talk to can tell me what that’s like,” he says. “I just say I’m looking forward to it.”
While Weezy’s away, his label is relocating to New York to be near him, and his manager Cortez Bryant is exploring ways to keep Wayne in his fans’ minds for the duration — from jailhouse Twitter accounts to endorsements. “I’ll have an iPod, and I”ll make sure they keep sending me beats,” Lil Wayne says. Tha Carter IV — which Norris is told features tougher, faster beats — is scheduled to arrive shortly after he gets out.
